Meet Marine

Marine is a French facialist, mother and the founder of Pause, a practice rooted in rhythm, reverence, and reconnection.

Her journey spans over 15 years across France and Australia, beginning in beauty salons and day spas where she quietly became known for something beyond technique. Clients returned, again and again, not only for their skin but for the way they felt in her hands. Many would say the same thing: you have healing hands.

Guided by this, Marine deepened her practice through training in Reiki and continued to explore facial massage traditions from around the world. Over time, her work evolved into a blend of intuitive and healing touch, where presence matters as much as method, and where the nervous system is always at the centre.

At Pause, a facial is not just a treatment, but a ritual. The face holds more than we realise, tension, emotion, the imprint of our days. Constantly in use, yet rarely given the chance to fully soften. Through slow, intentional touch, Marine works with the face as a gateway, allowing the whole body to unwind.

Each session is attuned to your rhythm, your cycle, your energy, your season. Some moments call for sculpting and awakening, others for warmth, stillness, and deep rest.

What often surprises clients is not just the visible glow of their skin, but the depth of relaxation they feel, as if they’ve received a full body massage through the face alone. The mind quiets, the breath deepens, and something within begins to soften.

This is the essence of Pause.A space to be held, to slow down, and to return to yourself.

Because beauty is not something to chase, it’s something to remember.
